Africa makes for a dream safari destination. See the Big 5 in the Kruger National Park, South Africa. Head to Victoria Falls and experience an adrenaline-fueled holiday. Travel to East Africa where you’ll find the Serengeti and experience the Great Migration. From there you can hop on over to Zanzibar, the exotic spice island. - Cape Town, South Africa: Known for its incredible setting with the iconic Table Mountain as a backdrop, gourmet food scene and wine country on its doorstep.
- The Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya: Your best bet to witness the famous wildebeest migration. You can also spot the Big 5 in the park.
- Victoria Falls, Zambia/Zimbabwe: Known as “The Smoke that Thunders”, there’s nothing quite like standing on the lookout points and witnessing the sheer size and power of this waterfall.
- Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania: The adventure holiday of a lifetime, hiking up the world’s tallest free-standing mountain.

- Although English is widely spoken try to learn a few key phrases of the local languages, the locals will appreciate it.
- Make sure you are aware of which vaccinations and medication you may need before entering African countries. Some require proof of a Yellow Fever vaccination to enter the country. Before you go, check with your travel clinic about malarial medication.
- Don’t walk the streets alone at night, especially in the larger cities. If you’re out late, take an Uber.
- Tipping is generally expected, though it may vary from region to region.
- If you’re going on safari, be sure to pack a sun hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and warm clothing for the evenings.
